Chef Alfredo Russo

Alfredo’s culinary world has started with learning what haute cuisine is and reinforcing revolutionizing creations.
Chef Alfredo Russo was born in 1968 in Turin and discovered his passion for cooking when he was a kid. He attended a hotel school and worked with passion in several famous places, in particular in three of the top restaurants in Piedmont.

All efforts were rewarded with the opening of his restaurant in 1990: the Dolce Stil Novo, which arose with his wife Stefania in a small town called Cirie on the outskirts of Turin. The restaurant received many awards including the Michelin star, which came after three years. The Espresso Guide recognized Alfredo as the best young Italian chef in 2004. The awards continued to come, both domestically and internationally.

At the same time, Alfredo published several culinary books and became a key speaker at some major culinary conferences. At the end of 2008, the Dolce Stil Novo relocated to one of the UNESCO World Heritage sites, the Reggia di Venaria. Dolce Stil Novo has made a name in the hospitality industry with the purpose to develop new concepts for large and boutique hotel chains in Europe, Asia, the Middle East, and America.
